Q: What age do you start Barbizon?
A: We accept pre-teens at 6 years of age.

Q: Will this interfere with my school work?
A: Absolutely not.  Barbizon sessions are scheduled in the evenings for adults and weekends for teens & pre-teens. Most programs take about 6 months to complete including extra curricula activities.

Q: What happens at the end?
A: Each individual receives a certificate of completion. Those completing the Modeling programs can choose to participate in our graduation fashionshow. The fashion-shows are currently held at The Fashion Institute of Technology's Haft Auditorium.  The shows usually sell-out the 775 seats and are professionally recorded. Then each person is invited to register with our professional placement division.

Q: What about pictures?
A: Photography in NYC is a huge business. We include your photo-shoot and first photo in the program.  A Model develops a portfolio-- they don't go out and buy one.

Q: Can I still sign with other agencies?
A: While lifetime placement assistance is offered, Barbizon never "owns" your career. Barbizon is strictly "non-exclusive" in its representation.

Q: Why should I get training?
A: Like any career skill, no one is "born" to be a model.  Certain physical characteristics might make you more marketable but the skills are expected of a professional and must be learned..

Q: Do you accept everyone?
A: As required by our NYS license each person has a free, personal interview to show that they have the ability to benefit from the program.  Each person is evaluated on their own merit.

Q: Why should I come if I don't want to be a model?
A: It's about being your personal best.  Many of our most successful people have been stars in other areas.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Tuition varies by course and schedule.
